While Phil has always incorporated line, shape and texture combinations in his drawings, paintings and graphic designs, in 2010 Phil began translating these concepts into the genre of sculptural installation design. Phil’s unique, three-dimensional, site-specific designs have been exhibited by the world-renowned Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts and the prestigious Cathedral Arts Project, Chicago’s Wicker Park Arts district, have been commissioned by Joslyn Art Museum and the regional corporation HyVee.

Commissioned installation at Hy-Vee

In 2015 Hy-Vee commissioned Phil to create a site-specific installation for their Annual Wine & Spirits Wine tasting party.  The large scale installation incorporated the trademarked Hy-Vee logo, custom 3-D designed sculpture panels, and Phil’s signature painted texture designs.  This permanent installation can be viewed at the 180th Welch plaza Hy-Vee.
